These activities focus on certain aspects of childrens&#39; learning. They talk about what children enjoy doing and what adults could do to facilitate the learning.<br></br> We are writing about various aspects that encourage good thinking and learning, namely; <ul> <li>What they, the pupils, notice,</li> <li>The associated mark making,</li> <li>Helping the imaginations and conjecturing,</li> <li>Exploring the different mathematical aspects,</li> <li>Considering the "undoing" process,</li> <li>Thinking/saying how we know "it" and why "it" is true.</li> </ul> We also are writing about "The Mathematical Journey" surrounding the particular activity.<br></br> We are trying to keep the resources to a minimum.<br></br> We are considering other ways of getting into the same mathematics.<br></br> <br></br> Finally we are suggesting - where appropriate - story, rhyme and song links.<br></br> <br></br> <br></br> Early in $2011$ we started some activities that have been trialled and they can be found <a href="https://nrich.maths.org/earlyyears">here</a>.<br></br> These are superceded by the new activities being developed as outlined above.</mdoxml> 2 3 0 0 0 0 0 EYFS Teacher Page sfh10 for teacher page
