Why do this problem?

This is an excellent activity that challenges pupils abilities in visualisation. It can be used with much younger pupils with them just finding triangles and more experienced pupils can concentrate on finding different triangles.

Possible support

Some pupils will just need support to help them focus on the picture and not get overwhelmed by all the lines and shapes. You could print off this sheet which has six copies of the image for learners to annotate.
